Gain hands-on experience, insight, decision-making and problem solving skills by assisting with camp activities as a counselor in training during summer camp.
Successful candidates must have an interest in youth recreation, working with campers ages 3-9 and participate in all camp activities and field trips. CITs must be willing to commit the required energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude to all aspects of the camp week.
Candidates that have successfully completed Trailblazers Extreme Camp will receive a 50% discount off the registration fee for each week they attend as a CIT.
Interested candidates should contact Sheila Russell (sheila.russell@washingtontwp.org) and submit a 500-word essay with their name, age and why they want to be a CIT.
PRIORITY ADMISSION
Deadline to submit essay has been extended for priority admission. Please submit essay by 4 p.m. on Friday, February 20. Once the essay is reviewed by our staff, an interview will be scheduled with the candidate. If the candidate is selected, registration and payment will be made at that time.
