It also trains the participants to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. The RecPlex teaches the American Red Cross Blended Learning Lifeguard course which has seven hours of online instruction and twenty hours of in-person instruction. Students must be at least 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course. Participants must pass the Washington Township Pre-Skills Test in order to take the Lifeguard course. The Pre-Skills Test occurs on the first day of class. Registration includes the $30 fee for the Pre-Skills Test. If the candidate does not pass the Pre-Skills Test, the registration fee will be refunded minus the $30 for the Pre-Skills Test.Participants who successfully pass the final written exam, with a minimum grade of 80%, and the in-water final skills scenarios will receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED. Come prepared to each class with a towel, swimsuit, snacks, writing utensil, paper and water bottle.

Campers will explore the ponds and our pollinator gardens through games and STEM activities. Campers will also swim twice a week (Monday and Thursday), fish, kayak, use the climbing wall and test their skills with archery. Note: This camp stays on-site. Activities will be centered around a weekly theme as our kiddos experience all that Countryside Park has to offer. Campers will explore the ponds and our pollinator gardens through games and STEM activities. Campers will also swim twice a week (Monday and Thursday), fish, kayak, use the climbing wall and test their skills with archery. Note: This camp stays on-site. Fun, excitement, and challenges are on the agenda for Backwoods and Beyond Campers. Campers will spend time exploring the RecPlex AND traveling off-site twice in one week! Activities include fishing and kayaking in the pond, scaling the climbing wall, splashing in the pool, playing in the park, and much more! Get ready to defy gravity, challenge your limits, and experience the thrill of scaling vertical heights. Whether you’re a seasoned climber or a curious beginner, this program is designed for all adventure enthusiasts.Our goal is to provide a dynamic and supportive environment for climbers of all ages and abilities. Develop strength, balance, problem-solving skills, and mental resilience. Rock Climbing I (Ages 4-6)  - Allows young beginners the opportunity to climb and boulder on our 24-foot high wall.Rock Climbing II (Ages 7-12) - Includes climbing and bouldering games and competitions along with conditioning elements.Home School Climbing Wall- (Ages 6-17)- Focuses on time dedicated to home school students.

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Krav Maga Summer-26 - Krav Maga Beginner - Thursday
Krav Maga (Ages:  16+) Simple, natural, and effective self-defense based on simple principles, natural movements, and practical techniques. A favorite among law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and anyone interested in self-defense. Taught by Ehud Borovoy, personal trainer and Krav Maga instructor. For the intermediate class participation is conditioned on taking beginner classes 3 times before or with instructor approval.  Location:  RecPlex East, Room A
